First edition of the Dutch translation of a work on agriculture in the Middle East, written by the German preacher Hermann Christian Paulsen (1718-1780). It covers the fertility of the soil, harvest season, plowing, sowing, etc. The plates show a plow and harvest and threshing methods. The author often refers to biblical passages and other writers (Chardin, Maundrell, Nieuhof and others) concerning agriculture and farming.
Title-page restored at the gutter, a faint water stain in the lower margins, otherwise in very good condition. STCN 238655881 (5 copies).
